Breeding cats require a higher level of nutrition that pets, especially during pregnancy and lactation. Commercial food will not provide optimum nutrition during this period and if you supplement a commercial diet with meat already you will be inadvertently diluting the micronutrients from the diet.

Kittens have a big need for food to grow to their potential. They also have smaller stomachs and so it is important to feed a nutrient dense diet to achieve optimal growth and have the right micronutrients to support their developing immune system
